From the Big Apple to the D, Detroit-born Karen Couf-Cohen has parlayed her gift of gab into triumphant storytelling. For over 30 years, she has been telling client stories with imagination, flair, and integrity. Under the tutelage of storied T. George Harris, former editor-chief of Psychology Today, Couf-Cohen began her career at American Health Magazine, landing writers and editors on NBC's Today and Show and other leading media outlets.

Noted for her media relations acumen, Couf-Cohen was tapped to serve as Director of Media Relations at Detroit-based Lovio George Inc.Leading her own boutique-style agency, Couf-Cohen imprints a distinctive PR mark in the retail, real estate, entertainment, architecture, design, and nonprofit sectors, with keen abilities to mine for newsworthiness and the heart and soul of a story. Creative and values-driven, Couf-Cohen seeks out companies that matter. "I take an environmental approach to my work but you won't find any recycled ideas here," says Couf-Cohen. 

 

Couf Cohen is a leader in the community, sharing her expertise on the boards of key community organizations and institutions. In 2001, she founded a nonprofit concert in the parks program, attracting major corporate sponsorships. That a program that is is now in it's 23rd year.An accomplished writer, Couf-Cohen has written stories featured in The Oakland Press, The Detroit News, The Detroit Jewish News and other national trade pubs.
